Bullying awareness is VERY hot topic and rightfully so. With an increase in the number of crimes and suicides associated with bullying being reported it is becoming evident that the innocent teasing and horseplay has progressed into a very dangerous trend. Bullying has even evolved into a new and improved form with Cyber Bullying becoming a familiar term.

Bullying Help

There can never be enough information or resources that provide bullying help. The stresses of most bullied victims are never heard due to the fact that they feel they will be perceived as weak or that they are in the minority. Quite simply, there should be more of a proactive stance taken by those of us who know that bullying exist. Thus providing more of an opportunity for victims to step forward. The following video is provided by Ellen Degeneres in efforts to provide more awareness on the issue as well as provide sources for victims to seek assistance.

A search for Bullying advice will yield millions of results. In fact, if one were “searching” for bullying advice, he or she might be overwhelmed with the results that are returned. Unfortunately, most times the victims of bullies never seek advice due to the notion that they may be perceived as weak. Most bullied victim’s stories are never heard. That being the case, we must make more of a proactive effort to spread awareness on the issue. It is probable that the more we provide bullying advice in a proactive manner, the more opportunities victims will have to speak up and step forward. The following video is provided in effort to promote more awareness on the issue.

Hopefully, we can help to ease the pain that victims are experiencing. Most victims in need of bullying advice are children. Although there are some children that will seek advice from an adult (who will take appropriate action), the masses will not. Facts on Bullying

Bullying is on the rise and the facts on bullying are astonishing! Approximately 1 in 3 children are part of bullying scenarios (either bullying or being bullied). The facts on bullying behavior get buried many times as the victims either have no one to confide in or they feel as if they are alone. Unfortunately, many times victims feel like they will be perceived as weak if they discuss their being bullied. Quite simply, we must have more programs and outlets in place to make the victims feel more comfortable seeking help when bullied. Additionally, a consolidated focus on providing facts on bullying as well as shining a light on the issue is necessary. The following video is provided in effort to raise awareness as a few celebrities speak on bullying.

The facts on Bullying are available for us all. However, advocates against bullying must do more to expose the actions. It would be a wonderful thing if all children knew where to go in order to seek help. The more programs available, the more that we expose the facts on bullying and the more we shine a light on the different options available for the victims…the more opportunity we provide for victims to be heard. Autism Support Groups

Autism support groups provide information in regard to local doctors, schools, therapist and more. According to the Mayo clinic “Autism is one of a group of serious developmental called autism spectrum disorders(ASD) that appear in early childhood-usually before the age 3….All autism disorders affect a child’s ability to communicate and interact with others.”

Revive Our Community

Autism support groups come in unconventional forms as well! Recently one of the Revive Our Community friends made us aware of how an autistic child has lost his mother due to domestic violence and how a particular autism support group is making an unconventional difference!

Domestic Violence and PTSD go Hand in Hand

Domestic Violence and PTSD are truly linked together. The following is an excerpt from a HUB Page on the subject:

PTSD is caused by a specific traumatic event such as a natural disaster, life threatening incident such as an assault or rape, or witnessing such an event happen to another person, particularly a loved one. The result is a single psychiatric injury that is contained to a single memory pathway of neurons.

Unlike PTSD, which can develop after a person has experienced a specific event that was traumatic enough to cause a psychiatric injury, Complex PTSD develops after a person has experienced many traumatic events. Such circumstances can be found situations of ongoing abuse, for example: childhood abuse, family/domestic violence and work place bullying.

Each specific episode of abuse or bullying involved in the ongoing trauma results in the victim suffering a psychiatric injury, and so, over time, many many psychiatric injuries are inflicted. Due to the ongoing nature of such traumas, the individual events and resulting psychiatric injuries are spread out through hundreds of related memory pathways and thousands of neurons, neural clusters, and neural networks.

Domestic violence videos are fresh in our memories due to Domestic violence awareness month. Domestic violence is typically “swept under the rug” or forgotten about due to the fact that many women have few shelter options once they leave home. Unfortunately, battered many times battered women must return to a volatile situation in order to provide a roof over the heads of themselves and their children. In a follow up to preliminary video coverage (of Debra Bowles helping a battered woman and her children) we are providing exclusive coverage showing Debra aid battered women and children.
